What we will do to keep you safe
While we always had high cleaning standards in the past, we have upgraded our standard cleaning protocols again to account for COVID-19.
We are closely monitoring and applying guidelines and recommendations provided by the Barbados Board of Tourism and also will apply international health guidelines created in consultation the World Health Organization (WHO) and other institutions world wide, who contribute with valuable advise how to keep our guest and staff as safe as possible.
Making tourist feel comfortable to travel again after this pandemic is a must for the entire vacation rental industry, By adopting these new cleaning guidelines we will reassure our guests that our vacation rentals are a safe places to stay for you.
When planing a trip to Barbados check the constantly updated travel protocols for the island to make sure you have a smooth trip and entry to Barbados: https://www.visitbarbados.org/covid-19-travel-guid...
The island can be very proud on how on the pandemic was handled by government and the people of Barbados who showed a responsible attitude and lots of patience and cooperation, which kept Barbados a very safe place to be during this ongoing pandemic
For those of the travel community who are looking for a safe place to travel to, Barbados and here especially our property, the Inchcape Seaside Villas, provide a very safe environment. Our studios and apartments all have their own private areas, which is the ideal situation for social distancing and living as to the new rules we will still have to live with for a while.
What we do to make your quarantine period a as convenient as possible
All arriving guests to Barbados have to go to a quarantine approved hotel as our property, the “Inchcape Seaside Villas”, and stay in their apartment and corresponding outside areas, until they have received their negative test result for the test taken in Barbados 5 days after the first test in your home country has been taken. To point out again: on day five after the first test, but not within less than 48 hours after the arrival in Barbados, a second test is to be done and once it comes out negative one is free to move around.
There are two options of how to get the test done: you may chose to have it done free of charge organized by the Ministry of Health. It works very well, you will be picked up by a certified taxi and taken to a government facility, all you need to pay is for the taxi. The results are supposed to be in your hands within 24 hours and occasionally it also works out to be faster that that.
The more convenient way to go is to have us book a VIP test for you which cost $ US 150 p. person. In this case the health inspector will come to your apartment in the morning of the day after your aRRIVAL and do the test at Inchcape and the results usually come back the same evening or the next morning.
We at the Inchcape Seaside Villas have put a system in place which makes a quarantine stay as convenient as possible. We organize delivery of groceries to the apartment before guests arrival and we also organize the second tests to be be taken after a guest’s arrival and make sure our guests get their results the fastest way possible.
In order to secure the safety and security of our guests and to be able to comply with Corona related protocols and issues no person from the outside is allowed to enter our property without registering with our manager on duty or at our office.
Resident guests must inform Inchcape’s management if they expect someone to visit. Permission needs to be granted by Inchcape’s management.
Please contact our manager at email@example.com for detailed information on how to deal with preparation for your stay with us.
We advise not to forget to carry some cash for taxis and local provision providers. And in case you wish to go for the VIP test you need to pay for it in cash US or Bds.
Life in Barbados feels almost normal, supermarkets are well stocked, restaurants are open, everybody wears masks, altogether a very well controlled situation. We hope our input in combination with the info given on the protocols website will give you a pretty good idea about what’s up in sunny Barbados.
