The history of the Inchcape Seaside Villas property reaches back as far as 1920, when the plantation style main house was constructed as the Seaside mansion of the plantation owner Lord Inchcape. House Seaside was built of 2 feet wide coral stone blocks and so were the surrounding buildings as the maids quarter and the stables.

After several changes in ownership, the property was converted in 1961 into an apartment hotel. Two buildings, Sunrise and Sunset were added to the rental fleet.
