Dear friends & guests of the Inchcape Seaside Villas

This is to inform you of rules and procedures to follow before and while traveling to our beautiful and as good as Corona free island paradise.

We can call Barbados lucky, but not to forget luck needs to be earned. The government of Barbados has handled the pandemic very good, smart decisions were made which rules and regulations to put when in place. The people of Barbados have done their part by obeying the rules, accepting lockdowns and curfews and behaving accordingly with great discipline.

Because of how the pandemic has been handled, Barbados is now a very unique position. When looking at the world map as shown here:

there is hardly any other country in the world besides Barbados one can travel to when looking to escape northern winter in the tropics. Barbados, besides it’s neighboring island St. Lucia, is standing out as an as good as Corona free environment with a good infrastructure and having flight connections form all over the world operating by now

To keep the island safe and as virus free as possible, Barbados has chosen to rank countries in different risk categories.

What applies for all arriving guests is that one needs to have a negative PCR Corona test which is not older than 3 days (not 72 hours anymore) when entering the country.

If a guest arrives form what’s called high a risk area, which currently (November 01, 2020) applies for inst. for the most European countries, also Germany, UK , the USA and Canada, guest have to go to a quarantine approved hotel as our property, the “Inchcape Seaside Villas”, and stay in their apartment and corresponding outside areas, average for a couple of days. On day four after the first test, a second test is to be done and once it comes out negative one is free to move around.

Best ways to get to Barbados from Europe are with British Airways via London Heathrow , Virgin Atlantic via England and Air Canada via Canada (transit).

All protocols are easy to follow and provide for utmost safety for travelers and locals alike. As those can change on a daily basis, please check here to be up to date at all times::

In order to make the first days as convenient as possible. we have put a well functioning system in place. Guests send us a shopping list and their credit card information and we arrange for their fridges being stocked upon arrival.

We advise not to forget to carry some cash for taxis and local provision providers.

Life in Barbados feels almost normal, supermarkets are well stocked, restaurants are open, everybody wears masks, altogether a very well controlled situation. We hope our input in combination with the info given on the protocols website will give you a pretty good idea about what’s up in sunny Barbados.
