Christ Church: Inchcape Seaside Villas: "Chillin in Barbados"
OttawaPete, Ottawa, ON Mar 21, 2007

Wonderful vacation! My wife and I have just returned home from two marvellous weeks at the Inchcape Villas. We have been to Barbados several times before but always stayed at an all inclusive resort. This time our kids were not with us! Inchcape is special. The villas, the people, the location and the beauty all add up to a special time. Wolfgang and his wife Rosie are extremelly good hosts who leave you on your own unless you have a request or problem. The Villas are very spacious, very clean and very cool. We stayed in Seaside cottage B and it was perfect for the two of us. There is a shared beach with the Silver Sands Hotel next door which is okay for a dip in the morning or if you are a wind surfer or boogie boarder. We found a beach called Miami Beach about two miles down the road which is very pretty and nice white sand and warm water. We walked there and back each day. There are also ZR buses which are really just modified vans which cost $1.50 BD and run about every 30 seconds. It is a 5 minute walk to catch one of these and you can get to Bridgetown in about 20 minutes. Inchcape itself is pretty much nestled in with the locals and that is what makes it a special place. There are 2 or 3 restaurants within a 10 minute walk which serve very good food at reasonable prices. We did not see a whole lot of children around and I personally would not have taken my kids there as they would have been a little bored after years at a resort with all of the activities. However for a couples vacation and just "chillin" I highly recommend Inchcape Villas. We will be back!!!

My experience with this property took place in:
November, 2006
We have spent time at Inchcape for two consecutive years, and have found it to be an absolute delight each time. Wolfgang, Rosie, David, and all the rest always go the extra mile to provide charm, insight, recommendations and an overall warm and welcoming experience. We hope to return again this year, and are so happy with Inchcape that we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Hi Wolfgang

We have been back in England for a month now - how time flies! I just wanted to say how marvellous our time at Inchcape was. It is truly a paradise and we are still talking about it and wishing we were on that marvellous sun deck overlooking the sea. The trade winds made such a difference to us as we were able to sit in the sun for so much longer than we usually can in Barbados. Everything was just perfect - and I have to tell you I think your staff are superb. You were away for most of our visit yet their dedication was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and I thought it was quite amazing when, on our first night, Ronda's husband drove me into Oistins so I could get a phone card - and not only that, but Ronda insisted on coming round the supermarket with me and this was at a time when she should have been going home. You should be very proud of your staff (I'm sure you are) but I wanted you to know how great they were in your absence.

........................funny how I just CAN'T drum up too much enthusiasm but keep thinking of Inchcape!

Please give my love to Ronda and Natalie.

May it not be too long before we can return!
