Having been to many different islands in the caribbean, this trip we decided on Barbados. We were looking for something different compared to the all-inclusives we had become accustomed to. Inchcape, was exactly what we were looking for. At first we were a little shocked at the location of Inchcape (it is set in and amongst a residential area, yet tucked away nicely). After the first few hours, we fell in love with the location and villa. We stayed in Seaside A and it was perfect for the two of us. A nice kitchen, living area, and a loft bedroom with a beautiful deck (when at the villa this is where most of the time was spent). Inchcape is tucked away right on the ocean, which made it very romantic for us. Even with other villas in close proximatey, we were never bothered by noise or other guests. The beach itself is great for playing in the waves or attemtping to surf. Silversands resort is right next door and has a pool which is available for $5bds/day. Even with Inchcape being tucked away, amenities were very accessible. Oistins is a quick 5min drive, while St. Lawrence Gap is maybe 10-15 mins. The people of Barbados are the nicest individuals we have ever met. Where ever we were on the island, if we needed help, we wouldnt hesitate to ask a local. Best island, vacation, atmosphere in our eyes...

If you golf, Inchcape is the place to stay. As a guest, you are provided entrance to Royal Westmoreland at an excellent rate (cheaper than my home courses in Alberta). This track is FANTASTIC!!! I even saw two monkeys on the 11th tee box.

There is so much to do in Barbados so make sure you stay long enough to do it all. We missed the Cricket World Cup by a couple of days but managed to see the local final at Queens Park. Being my first cricket match ever, I will never forget it.

Thank you so much to Natalie (Chief Maid). She was a tremendous help while we were there. Cant wait to see you next year.

Oh yah, there is one little beach restaurant just down the road from Inchcape. It is called Surfers Bay. We ate there the first night and it really helped put us in the right mindset for the rest of our trip. Go there!!

Inchcape Seaside Villas: "Private and Romantic"

Had a wonderful stay in our apartment, Seaview at Inchcape. The property used to be an old plantation so lots of atmosphere, interesting architecture and plants galore.
Was extremely private and felt really safe - we were facing the ocean so lots of breezes through our place - excellent kitchen, bathroom, own balcony (with lots of memories of playing Scrabble!), t.v (not that we used it), and our own entrance.
Would love to go back - very much recommend it to anyone who would like to enjoy the South Coast. Shops are nearby, a five-minute walk to a mini bus stop to go to Oistins, the beach is large, and there is a pool that you can use at Silver Sands for a small fee.
